Atlantic City, N.J. - The Atlantic City Surf of the Canadian-American League have announced the signing of rookie shortstop Zadoc Christensen and rookie outfielder Kwesi Mitchell.

Mitchell, a native of Miami and a graduate of Piscataway (N.J.) High, spent the 2007 season at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, leading the squad with a .371 average, 13 home runs and 44 RBI to go along with 10 doubles and 12 stolen bases. The home run and RBI marks were both school records for the Highlanders, who were playing their first Division I season. The 23-year-old was also selected by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association as a first-team outfielder on the 2007 all-state team, made up of the eight baseball-playing Division I schools in the Garden State.

Christensen played collegiately at Friends University, a member of the NAIA's Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, and at Salt Lake Community College. The native of Murray, Utah, was signed by the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the United Baseball League in March of 2007.
