Surf Hires Fairfield

ATLANTIC CITY _ The Atlantic City Surf announced the hiring of Brendan Fairfield as vice-president of sales and ticketing. Fairfield, a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and the University of New Haven, will be responsible for all facets of the club's ticket operations.

Fairfield, who grew up in Absecon, worked for the Surf as assistant director of group sales from 1997-98.

He was then employed by the Somerset Patriots from 2000-2006 where he helped the Patriots become one of the more successful franchises in independent baseball. Fairfield served as the vice-president of ticket sales for Somerset.

"We are very fortunate to have Brendan on board,'' Atlantic City Surf CEO and president Mark Schuster said. "He brings a wealth of experience to the job.''

The Atlantic City Surf begin play in the Can-Am League in 2007. The Surf open the home season on May 24, 2007 at Bernie Robbins Stadium and will play 53 home games. Atlantic City's season now mirrors that of the Jersey Shore as it runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
