
Surf drop opening game of playoffs

The Atlantic City Surf fell to the Camden Riversharks 8-2 on Tuesday night in Camden. Lincoln Mikkelsen went 8 innings for the Riversharks for the win as Surf starter Anthony Chavez had to leave after two innings because of back spasms. Chavez allowed two unearned runs in the the first two innings and the Riversharks never looked back. The Surf cut the lead in half with a Dario Delgado RBI-double which plated Raul Marval. The Riversharks scored four times in the seventh to increase their lead to 8-1, putting the game out of reach.
The best of three series moves back to Atlantic City for the final two games at the Sandcastle on Wednesday and Thursday. Both games begin at 6:35pm. For tickets call (609)344-7873.
