The Atlantic City Surf and the Camden Riversharks confirmed this morning that their joint open-tryout scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at The Sandcastle in Atlantic City, NJ has been rescheduled for April 13.

Prospective players are requested to arrive at The Sandcastle for registration at 9am and the tryout will begin at 11am. Players are asked to bring check, cash or money order to pay the $40 tryout fee during registration. Also, both teams ask that prospective players either bring their playing resume/profile or fax the form to (609) 344-7010 prior to April 13

Mitch Williams & Wayne Krenchiki along with members of the Surf and Riversharks staffs will evaluate prospective players based on their abilities shown in drills including fielding and hitting.

Surf Manager Mitch Williams stated, "this is a great opportunity for a player who has ever dreamed of playing professional baseball to come out and get a true feeling for his abilities. Especially on a field like The Sandcastle." Mario Perrucci, Surf General Manager, commented "these kinds of tryouts remind me of my days with the Cardinals. I really enjoyed the opportunity of playing minor league ball and hopefully we'll find a ‘Diamond in the Rough' during this event."

Anyone interested in additional information on the joint tryout should contact Jeff Ball with the Atlantic City Surf at (609) 344-8873, extension 106.
