Suárez to be available Saturday versus Galaxy

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, April 12, 2006) - Chivas USA defender Claudio Suárez joined the Mexican national team today in Mexico City, which this week begins its preparations for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

"Chivas USA expresses its full support for the Mexican national team. Although Claudio will be missed, Chivas USA wishes him and the Mexican national team all the best as they prepare for their next World Cup adventure," said Chivas USA President and Co-Owner Antonio Cué Sánchez-Navarro.

Per an agreement between Chivas USA and the Mexican national team, Claudio Suárez joins will undergo physical and medical exams in Mexico City, before returning to Los Angeles to be available for Chivas USA's game on Saturday, April 15 in the 'Honda Super Clásico' at 8:00 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center (TV: ESPN2; Radio: KTNQ 1020 AM Univision Radio Los Angeles; Radio pregame show starts at 7:30 p.m.).

Thereafter, Suárez will return to Mexico to continue training with the Mexican national team.
