
Super Bowl Champions Bishop, Bulaga, and Finley to Appear at Wave Game

MILWAUKEE (March 4, 2001) ¬" Super Bowl XLV Champions Desmond Bishop, Bryan Bulaga and Jermichael Finley will be attending the Milwaukee Wave game on March 6th at 3 p.m. as the Wave take on rivals, Baltimore Blast. The Champions will be introduced at halftime with media interviews granted during the 3rd quarter. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the players following the game by purchasing a photo or collector's item to have autographed with proceeds to benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Wave of Hope.
Giuliano Oliviero of the Milwaukee Wave will be honored prior to the game as he has recorded over 500 career regular season games. Oliviero and Michael King are the only players in Wave history to reach this milestone. Oliviero appeared in his 500th regular season game on January 22nd against the Chicago Riot at the US Cellular Arena. During his 500th game he netted two goals and tallied his eight assist of the season. He has accumulated over 1000 career points, 350 goals, and 300 assists in his career. Oliviero is not only active on the field but also off the field with his work in the community. He serves as a coach and role model to the Waukesha West boy's varsity team and U8 SC Waukesha team. He is also the Director of Coaching for SC Waukesha. Oliviero is extremely involved in the philanthropic and educational ventures of the Milwaukee Wave of Hope. The Milwaukee Wave will honor his great accomplishments on his bobblehead giveaway night where the first 3,000 fans to enter the U.S. Cellular Arena will receive the bobblehead.
The Milwaukee Wave has two regular season home games left: March 6th and March 13th. Super Bowl SLV MVP, Aaron Rodgers, will be attending the March 13th game on behalf of the MACC Fund. Twelve randomly selected fans will be chosen right before the start of the game to win a number ¬Ë12' Wave Rodgers jersey which they can take and have autographed by Mr. Rodgers.
The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running professional soccer team in the country. The Wave completed their 26th season by winning the Major Indoor Soccer League regular season championship. Their summer camp program is the largest team-operated program in the country.
