
Milwaukee Holds Omaha Scoreless for Fifth Shutout in Wave History

MILWAUKEE, WI - Only once before in 26 years has the Milwaukee Wave shut out an opponent on the road. Marcel Feenstra led the defensive effort as the Wave won 21-0 over the Omaha Vipers at Omaha Civic Auditorium securing the second road shut out in the franchise history.
The Milwaukee Wave again had a balanced team approach with seven players contributing for the Wave. The Wave jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter. Marcio Leite and Joe Hammes scored in the first quarter. The Wave tore off four goals in the second quarter with Leite adding an additional goal and Ian Bennett, Evan McNeley and Marco Terminesi all contributing giving the Wave a 13-0 lead.
In the third quarter the Wave added four more goals. Greg Howes struck first scoring a goal in his first game back with the Milwaukee Wave. In addition to the goal, Howes contributed four assists ending the game with 6 points. Hewerton also scored two goals in the quarter with Leite adding another goal for a hat trick in the game.
