Buffalo Destroyers News Release

(BUFFALO, NY)- Drew Bledsoe is not the only former New England Patriot making noise with a Buffalo football team. The Buffalo Destroyers announced Pete Sinagra has returned to the team as the Director of Sales and Marketing. He rejoins the team from the Super Bowl XXXVI Champion Patriots where he served as a corporate sales executive. Sinagra was a marketing executive with the Destroyers from 1998-2000.

"I'm excited to be back in Buffalo and with the Destroyers," Sinagra said. "It's great to be working with Mark Hamister and a world class organization. I was here from day one when this team was just a concept and it's exciting to see how the team has evolved and what we can do in the future."

Sinagra sports four championship rings from his 21 years in professional sports. He was the assistant general manager for the Double-A Vermont Reds in 1984 when they won the Eastern League championship, he picked up a World Series ring as a corporate sales executive with the 1986 New York Mets and he was an account executive with the 1997 American Association Champion Buffalo Bisons. He added a Super Bowl ring to his portfolio last season with the Patriots.

Sinagra has spent almost half his career in Buffalo. He worked eight years with the Bisons from 1991-98. He began as the director of sales and marketing before making the transition to an account executive with Custom Sports Promotions, an organization owned by Bisons owner Bob Rich, where he sold advertising for the Bisons, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Blizzard.

"This is not uncharted water for me," Sinagra added. "I have sold in this market before and I look forward to rekindling my old relationships with clients."

In his first stint with the Destroyers, Sinagra sold sponsorships and advertising for the team. Now, Sinagra will oversee all sales and marketing including sponsorships, ticket sales and telemarketing.

"My wife is from Western New York and we wanted to be back around family," Sinagra finished. "Now my kids can be around their grandparents."

Buffalo kicks off its fifth season in the Arena Football League in February 2003. This season also marks the beginning of the league's historic agreement with NBC. Season tickets are on sale now. Call 881-4444!
