Hagerstown, MD: The Hagerstown Suns shutout the Delmarva Shorebirds 3-0 on Saturday night, limiting them to 4 hits. Brandon Wilson, Nick Abel and Ryan Meyers were absolutely dominant as the Suns (27-40) took game one of four in the last series of the year.
Tomorrow, the Suns and Shorebirds play a double-dip beginning at 5:35pm. The first 7 inning game will be followed by a 30 minute intermission before game number 2. On Sunday the Suns are handing out 1,000 "Earl" bobbleheads with the likeness of Jason Lee's character from the Emmy winning NBC show, "My Name is Earl". September 3rd also features the Suns standard Sunday promotions including Herald-Mail Family Sundays, "Suns on Sundays" sponsored by Cool 95.9FM., and kids can enjoy a pre-game story read by Suns players during Suns Story Time, presented by the Washington County Arts Council. Following the game, Antietam Cable Advertising and Mini Melts invite all kids on the field to run the bases. As they exit, fans can pick up a coupon for ice cream courtesy of The Big Dipper.
