Hagerstown Suns News Release
The Hagerstown Suns return home this week to Municipal Stadium with games on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th. As always, the Suns game calendar is full of great promotions:
Tuesday, June 22nd (vs. Lakewood at 7:05pm) - Bank/Credit Union Challenge - discounted tickets are available at local participating banks and credit unions. Stop in, pick up a ticket voucher, and your ticket is only $3!
Wednesday, June 23rd (vs. Lakewood at 7:05pm) - Once again, fans can receive tickets for only $3 by stopping in at any local participating bank and picking up their ticket voucher good for June 22 or June 23. Wednesdays are also "Senior Days" presented by Bankers Insurance (Michael Barnes & Karen Wilt) and WARK/Oldies 106.9fm. Seniors 60 and over can show their i.d. at the gate and receive $2 admissions.
Thursday, June 24th (vs. Lakewood at 7:05pm) - FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, presented by Coca-Cola. This post-game Fireworks show is the re-scheduled fireworks show from Opening Night, April 12th. Of course, every Thursday is also a THIRSTY THURSDAY courtesy of Heineken, Classic Rock WKMZ 95.9fm & The Rock Station 94.3fm WQCM. All domestic draft beers are only $1, import draft beers $1.50.
NEXT HOMESTAND:
The Suns play at home July 1st - July 6th. Make sure you plan to attend a Suns game during the Suns biggest promotional homestand of the year highlighted by a Thirsty Thursday, 3 back-to-back-to-back Fireworks Shows, another Two-For-One Tuesday and the Suns first-ever bobblehead giveaway nights featuring NBC25 weatherman Lou Scally.
ON THE FIELD:
Unfortunately, the team concluded the end of the 1st half of the season losing 7 of their final 8 games. However, the season starts fresh tomorrow as all teams begin the 2nd half with a clean slate and a 0-0 record. The Charleston, WV Alley Cats and the Capital City Bombers won the North and South Division 1st half championships, respectively, and now await the winners of the 2nd half. Joe Bateman was recently added to the South Atlantic League's North Division All-Star squad replacing Nate Schierholtz who was recently promoted to San Jose, CA.
