Jacksonville, Fla. - Mark Saccomanno drove in three runs with a first inning double while Tom Koehler, Jose Ceda and Jhan Marinez combined on a six-hit shutout as the Jacksonville Suns (41-31, 1-1) took a 3-0 win over the Huntsville Stars (34-38, 1-1) in front of 4,817 Wednesday at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Koehler (9-1) picked up his league-leading ninth win of the season, dealing seven scoreless innings and scattering five hits. Stars starter Mark Rogers (3-5) fell in the loss, giving up three runs and four hits over four and two-thirds innings. Jhan Marinez (1) saved the game with a hitless ninth inning.

Jacksonville produced early runs against Rogers in the first inning. The Suns loaded the bases on a Greg Burns walk, Ozzie Martinez single and Lee Mitchell base on balls. With one out, Saccomanno doubled into left field to bring all three runners in for a 3-0 score.

Huntsville recorded six hits and one walk, all in separate innings.
