Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Pittsfield Suns (4-3) outscored the Worcester Bravehearts (4-2) 13-9 in 10 innings.
The teams totaled 33 hits in the game.
Eric Hamilton racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Pittsfield Suns. He doubled in the fourth inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the third and tenth innings.
Matt Cuneo got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Cuneo struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.
Zach Whitaker (0-1) took the loss for the Worcester Bravehearts. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
The Pittsfield Suns pounded the Worcester Bravehearts pitching, as six hitters combined for 17 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
