PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced Monday that for the fourth straight year the Club will help celebrate Read Across America Week with students by visiting local elementary schools throughout Northern Arizona.

Read Across America Week was first established 13 years ago by The National Educational Foundation. The nationwide reading celebration takes place each year on or near March 2, the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss.

During the appearances, Sundogs players will read to children, answer questions and discuss the importance of reading.

Theodor Seuss Geisel, most widely known for his children's books written under his pen name, Dr. Seuss, was born on March 2, 1904. He published over 60 children's books including bestseller Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat.
