Sundogs Own Fifth Spot In CHL Coaches Poll

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League own the fifth spot in the most recent edition of the bi-weekly CHL Coaches Poll, based on voting by the league's 17 head coaches. The Sundogs, 30-17-5 on the season, received 99 points in the poll.

The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs own the poll's top spot for the third-straight time with a 40-10-4 record heading into this weekend's games. Rounding out the top five are the Rocky Mountain Rage (#2), the Laredo Bucks (#3) and the Colorado Eagles (#4).

The Sundogs face off against Southwest Division foe the New Mexico Scorpions in Rio Rancho tonight at 7:05pm (Arizona time) in a crucial divisional matchup. Arizona leads the Southwest with 65 points, two ahead of second place Odessa and four ahead of third place New Mexico. The game can be heard live on 96.7 FM The Wolf, the Official Broadcast Home of the Arizona Sundogs.
