LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will go for their fourth straight win tonight when they host the Texas Brahmas at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Texas Lottery Night. One in every three fans in attendance will win a free Texas Lottery scratch off ticket. Also tonight and Saturday fans can take advantage of 16-oz beers for $2.50 until the end of the first period. The Bucks play game two of a season long five-game home stand tonight as they host the Brahams for the first and only time this season.

Laredo comes into tonight with a 10 point lead on Arizona for the number one seed in the Southern Conference playoffs with nine games remaining. With their 6-5 win over Amarillo Thursday night, the Sundogs now have 12 games left.

Wednesday the Bucks won their third straight game as they knocked off Corpus Christi 5-3. Jeff Bes notched his fourth hat trick of the season as he scored a goal in all three periods to increase his CHL-leading point total to 91 (42-49=91). Bes also set a new personal career high in goals scored with 42, and puts him three goals behind former line mate Chris Grenville for most goals scored in a season by a Buck with 45 (set in 2003-04).

Chris Korchinski added a goal and an assist in the win against the Rayz, eclipsing the 100-point plateau for his career.

Laredo comes into tonight having won three straight games against Northern Conference opponents, to put them 5-6-1 overall against the North thus far this season.

The Brahmas, led by former Bossier-Shreveport player Dan Wildfong, come in to tonight's game in the hunt for a Northern Conference playoff spot. Texas is one point behind Youngstown (62 to 61) with 13 games remaining.

Texas has made a run as of late, going 13-3 in their last 16 games, including two straight wins over current CHL leader Bossier-Shreveport.

The Brahmas are led in scoring by Anders Strome (30-20=50).

The Bucks are right back in action Saturday night when they host the Corpus Christi Rayz on TAMIU night. In addition to 16-oz beers being $2.50 until the end of the first period, the first 1,000 fans to enter the LEC will receive a TAMIU/Bucks car flag.
