Sundogs Help Local Fire Fighters Raise $3,300 for Arizona Children's Burn Camp

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League and United Yavapai Fire Fighters Local 3066 announced Tuesday that they raised nearly $3,300 for the Foundation for Burns and Trauma and Arizona Children's Burn Camp, 'Camp Courage' during the Sundogs game on Friday, Feb. 20.

United Yavapai Fire Fighters Local 3066 and fire fighters from the Prescott Fire Department, Central Yavapai Fire District, Chino Valley Fire District, Mayer Fire District and the Black Canyon City Fire District were on hand at Tim's Toyota Center before the game, during both intermissions and after the game to collect donations.

In partnership for the third consecutive year, The Arizona Sundogs Foundation also made a $2,000 donation to the Foundation for Burns and Trauma and Camp Courage during the first intermission of Friday's game.

Including The Arizona Sundogs Foundation's donation, United Yavapai Fire Fighters Local 3066 collected $3,296.36 for 'Camp Courage'.

'Camp Courage' is held at Pine Summit Camp in Prescott, Ariz. each summer and hosts children between the ages of 6-15. The campers are all burn survivors that spend a week taking part in activities such as camping, swimming, fishing, mountain biking and hiking.
