UNCASVILLE, Conn. (August 1, 2014) - The Connecticut Sun announced today that it has waived Briana Gilbreath-Butler to make room on the roster for Danielle McCray, who will be activated for the game tonight at San Antonio against the Stars.

McCray missed 14 games after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in her right thumb on June 26th. The injury was suffered in practice. Originally signed to a seven-day contract back on July 7th, Gilbreath-Butler appeared in six games, playing a total of 36 minutes. She had five rebounds and two points.
