Tulsa Shock News Release

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock will host Breast Health Awareness Night on Saturday August 2. The Shock have partnered with Soulful Survivors, BCAP, Susan G. Komen and Oklahoma Project Woman for the game. The concourse will include educational elements about breast health and organizations involved with awareness. There will be a silent auction during the game with items from the Shock team and items from other sports teams.

Following the conclusion of the game, there will be a live auction on court for the game-worn pink jerseys the Shock players will be wearing, as well as shoes and headbands. The Shock players will present and autograph the auction items to the winning bidders.

The Shock will be taking donations from fans and encouraging them to sign the "Dedication Wall" located in the concourse. The "Dedication Wall" is a wall where fans can leave their stories, notes of encouragement and dedications to those facing breast health issues.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the three organizations the Shock has partnered with, Soulful Survivors, Oklahoma Project Woman, Susan G. Komen and BCAP.

Each partner organization has put forth a Champion (survivor) as its representative for the night. Each Champion will be telling her personal story to fans that night though a video testimony and special presentation on court at halftime. Champions will also be made available for fans to meet and visit with on the concourse in the third quarter.

Fans are able to purchase a special ticket package for the game that includes a ticket and commemorative pink t-shirt with the Shock's Fifth Anniversary logo. A portion of each ticket package sold will be donated to the Shock Community Foundation.
