UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May15, 2012) - The Connecticut Sun announced today that it has waived Dawn Evans.
The Sun now have 12 players on their roster. The team must be down to 11 players by 2 p.m. on May 17th .
Evans was signed to a training camp contract on March 16th . The former James Madison star averaged 8.7 minutes for the Sun in three preseason games. Against New York on May 7th, the 5- foot-7 guard had five assists and one steal. She also had one rebound and one steal against Minnesota on May 10th and three points, one rebound and one assist at Washington on May 14th .
The Sun will open their 10th regular season on May 19th at New York, and will return home to host the Liberty the next day at Mohegan Sun Arena at 5 p.m. For more information on the Connecticut Sun, visit www.connecticutsun.com .
