The Storm 2012-13 record now stands at 11-9 which puts them in a tie with the St. John Mill Rats for first in the Atlantic Division. The 11 team wins are only 1 away from the number of wins they had all of last year when they went 12-24.
The Storm record at home goes to 7-3. Last year the home record was 6-12.The Storm finished December with a 7-3 record for the month (2-7 last year). They were 5-6 for November.The Storm had 2,517 fans in attendance at the New Year's Eve game. The Storm have played in front of 19,889 fans at Credit Union Place in 10 home games which averages to 1,989 per game. After 10 home games last year the total attendance was 19,320 for an average of 1,932.When the Storm are ahead at half time, the Storm has a record of 9-3. When ahead after three quarters their record stands at 9-1.The Storm has now scored over 100 points in nine straight games, a team record. They have scored over 100 points in 13 games this season. Their record when they scored 100 or more is 9-4.They have allowed the opposition to score over 100 points in seven games this season. Their 114-101 win over the Jazz last night was the first win over an opponent that has scored over 100 points in a game (record 1-6).The Storm out-rebounded the Jazz 65-50. They have out-rebounded the opposition in 17 of their 20 games this season. Last season the Storm out-rebounded the opposition in 17 of their 36 games.The Storm are 9-0 this season when their shooting percentage is higher than the opposition.The 26 offensive rebounds last night is the second most all-time behind the 28 registered on December 15, 2011 against Halifax.The Storm registered a team-record 36 assists (Old record 35 - Jan. 20, 2012 vs Oshawa)The 17 steals gives the Storm 35 in the last two games. On December 28th, the Storm established a team record with 18 steals. The 17 steals yesterday was the second highest ever.The 10 blocks is tied for the second most all-time. The team record is 14 established on February 16, 2012 vs Moncton.For the third time ever, the Storm had three players with double-doubles. Omari Johnson recorded his third double-double in three games with the Storm. He now has 15 career double-doubles to tie for third in NBL career double-doubles with Ralphy Holmes (who played two games with Summerside). Gabe Freeman of London leads with 31 double-doubles and Mike Williams of the Storm is second with 18. Brandon Hassell and Al Stewart were the other two players to record doubles last night. It was Hassell's fourth of the season while Stewart recorded his second of the season and ninth of his career which puts him in 9th place in NBL history.

Omari Johnson was 6-6 from the free-throw line. It is the 10th time in Storm history that a Storm player has been perfect from the free throw line with at least 6 free throws attempts.Al Stewart had 13 assists in the game, the second highest in Storm history behind the 17 assists he had on January 20th, 2012 vs Oshawa.Greg Plummer tied a team record with 6 steals yesterday. Others with 6 steals are Al Stewart (Feb. 14, 2012 at Moncton) and Louie McCroskey (Feb. 20, 2012 vs Quebec)Nick Evans had four blocks which equals a team record first established by Jared Carter (Nov. 25, 2011 vs Quebec) and Jessan Gray (Feb. 16, 2012 vs Moncton).Brandon Robinson has scored 20 or more points in five of his seven games with the Storm.Antonio Ballard is the only NBL to average more than 10 rebounds per game (10.30). He has 206 totals rebounds.Ballard has 27 more offensive rebounds (93) than any player in the NBL.
