Biloxi Shuckers News Release
PENSACOLA, FL. - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster moveS that affect the Biloxi Shuckers roster prior to today's 2:05 p.m. doubleheader against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Bayfront Stadium.
* Mike Strong, LHP, placed on the 7-day DL
* Eric Marzec, RHP, transferred to Biloxi from (R) Helena (will wear jersey #25)
Strong, 26, has a 0.79 ERA (1 ER/11.1 IP) in six relief appearances this season, posting a 1-0 record. Strong ranks third among Southern League relievers in opponents' batting average, limiting them to a .083 average (3x36). Strong is a member of the Brewers' 40-man roster and was selected in the 10th round of the 2011 draft out of Oklahoma State.
Marzec, 27, went 1-4 with a 3.02 ERA in 28 games, seven starts between Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville in 2014. The Canton, Ohio native went 6-0 with a 1.95 ERA in 46 relief appearances between Single-A Brevard Co. and Huntsville in 2013. Marzec was Milwaukee's 30th round selection in 2010 out of Youngstown State.
The Shuckers roster remains at 25 players with one on the temporary inactive list, one on the 7-day DL and one MLB rehab. MLB rehab assignments do not count against the clubs 25-man roster limit.
