
Strada Closes in on Franchise Records

Joe Strada is currently in his 3rd season with the Aberdeen Wings. As of today he is one assists away from becoming the franchises All Time Leader in Assists. He is also only one point away from being the franchises All Time Leader in Points.
Kye Haak was with the Aberdeen Wings from 2012-2015 playing in over 175 games and acquiring 82 assists and 38 goals totaling 120 points. In his final season with the Wings Kyle was named team captain. Since leaving the Wings Kyle has moved on to a successful career at Air Force Academy. Kyle is in his senior season with Air Force and has totaled 127 games with 39 goals and 40 assists totaling 79 points. Kyle helped The Falcons win the 2016-17 & 2017-18 NCAA AHA Championship and was named to the 2017-18 AHA All Tournament Team. Along with his on ice accomplishments Kyle has also been succeeding off the ice. Earlier this year Kyle was named The Air Force Association Cadet of the Year and U.S. Air Force Cadet of the Year.
Cory Ward was with the Wings from the beginning starting in 2010 to the 2011-2012 season. In his 113 games played Cory had 67 goals and 53 assists totaling 120 points. In his first season with the Wings he was named to the All NAHL Rookie Team. In his 2nd season he served as team captain and was named to the NAHL All Central Division Team. Cory attended Bemidji State University after finishing out his junior career with the Wings. In 4 seasons Cory played in 151 games and tallied 45 goals and 35 assists, 80 points. Since finishing his college career Cory has continued his career. Spending time with both the ECHL and AHL. Cory has played in 140 professional games and has 37 goals, 47 assists totaling 84 points.
Joe has a chance to break both records this weekend when the Wings travel to Bismarck to take on the Bobcats Friday and Saturday night. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 7:15.
