
Storm's Larkin shares co-MISL Goalkeeper of the Week

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - Chicago Storm goalkeeper Jim Larkin earned a share of Major Indoor Soccer League Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday. Larkin, who entered last Saturday's match against New Jersey with 3,000 career regular-season saves, added to his landmark total. He saved 13 of 15 shots in a 15-4 victory against the Ironmen at the Sears Centre Arena.
Larkin is 4-3 this season in seven starts. He is allowing 11.75 points per match and he has a save percentage of 0.699. Larkin shares this week's award with Milwaukee Wave goalkeeper Marcel Feenstra. Other winners were Baltimore Blast defender P.J. Wakefield and Baltimore forward Denison Cabral.
The Storm are coming off Tuesday's 16-14 School Day Game exhibition victory against the American Indoor Soccer League's Rockford Rampage. Chicago travels to Loves Park, Ill., on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. exhibition match against Rockford at the Victory Sports Complex, 7003 N. Alpine Road. Chicago's next MISL match is Feb. 13 at Philadelphia.
The Chicago Storm are members of the Major Indoor Soccer League. Chicago's professional indoor soccer team plays its home games at the Sears Centre, 5333 Prairie Stone Pkwy., in Hoffman Estates.
