This game marks the second meeting this season between the West Division rivals. Sioux Falls won the earlier battle 28-6 in Sioux Falls. The Storm recovered after a sluggish first-half to defeat Omaha last week and improved their record to 8-0. The comeback was fueled by quarterback Terrance Bryant who threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions in the victory. Bryant currently leads the UIF in passing yards (1,328) and touchdown passes (24). James Terry also had a breakout game against Omaha. Terry caught eight passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. The Storm is currently averaging the second most poinst scored in the UIF with 42.6 points per game.

Defensively, Sioux Falls regained the top spot in the least points allowed rankings. The Storm defense is allowing just 25.6 per game. The Storm defense is led by numerous players who are at the top of their game. Mark Blackburn leads the defense with 53 tackles, nine of them coming in last weeks game versus Omaha. Justin Landis, who sealed the victory over Omaha with an interception, is second on the team with 42.5 tackles. The defensive backfield trio of Andre Fields, Trice Crump and Brian McIntire has been outstanding as well by only allowing an average of 135 yards passing by the opposing team this season.

The Bandit's record stands at 4-4, which is second in the West Division and 4th best in the UIF. Sioux City's defense has been instrumental in their success as well. The Bandits defense is allowing the second least amount of points in the UIF by giving up 28.0 per game. The Bandits newly signed quarterback, Troy Travis, had a great debut as he thew for three touchdowns and ran for two more in last week's victory over Ohio Valley. Sioux City finishes the season with a brutal schedule as they play Sioux Falls three times and Lexington once in their final seven games.

The Storm returns home on Saturday, June 10 when the Peoria Rough Riders come to town. It is Kid's Night sponsored by Avera McKennan Hospital where kids will receive a 2006 Sioux Falls Storm Team Poster. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM with doors opening at 6:00 PM.
