
Storm to Honor Blackburn

The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to announce a very special ceremony during halftime of the Storm's IFL game against the Nebraska Danger on April 21. The ceremony, sponsored by Erbert & Gerbert's, will feature the retiring of former Storm great Mark Blackburn's No. 14 jersey.
Blackburn played eight seasons with the Storm from 2003 to 2010. Blackburn led the team in tackles in six of the eight seasons (2004-2009, 2010) and is the all-time leader in career tackles (664.5) and forced fumbles (10). He is second in career tackles for loss (73.0), third in interceptions (17) and interception touchdowns (3) and fourth in sacks (23.5), pass breakups (50) and blocked kicks (5). Blackburn holds the single-season record in tackles after he put up 114.5 in 2007.
Blackburn won four championships with the Storm and was named 1st team All-UIF in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and a Western Conference All-Star in 2008.
