Storm To Help Open Nutmeg State Games

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the team mascot Storm will help open the 2005 Nutmeg State Games. Storm will attend Fan Fest this Sunday, July 31st between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Sound Tigers' home, Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. Fan Fest will be followed by the opening ceremonies.

The Nutmeg State Games is a multi-sport festival of Olympic-style competition offering 23 different sports for Connecticut's amateur athletes. The Games are endorsed by the Governor's Committee on Physical Fitness, governed by the National Congress of State Games and recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the Official State Games of Connecticut.
