Storm Ready to Celebrate New Years Eve

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM are getting ready to play their 2nd annual New Years Eve game this Monday night at 7pm when the Montreal Jazz make their first trip to Prince Edward Island for a regular season matchup in the National Basketball League of Canada. While Mother Nature is giving Prince Edward Island our first real taste of winter today, New Years Eve weather looks to be good for STORM Fans with sunny conditions predicted.

The STORM come into the game in 2nd spot in the Atlantic division of the NBL with a 10-9 record after an exciting home win Friday night over the Moncton Miracles. Storm forward Brandon Robinson went over the 1,000 point mark in the game, the first NBL player to ever score over 1,000 career points in the league. Montreal has yet to win this season with a record of 0-15.

There will be plenty of excitement and fun for the whole family at Credit Union Place on New Years Eve with entertainment and food offered in the lobby, sleigh rides outside the building, along with free skating, bowling, and swimming offered before the game. Come to Credit Union Place early and enjoy the party then come to the game. Following the game there will be a countdown with everyone joining in to sing AULD LANG SYNE.

The Summerside STORM are pleased that as an added bonus the STORM will be offering free reserved parking for our Season Ticket Holders (based on availability) during our New Year's Eve game. With a great crowd anticipated, this benefit we hope, will help your New Year's game experience be the best ever. Parking will open up at 5pm New Years Eve.

Parking will be in parking lot B, located next to MacAusland's. Access will be on MacLeod Street, off of Greenwood Drive. Season Ticket holders will need to show their tickets to security to gain access.
