Summerside Storm News Release
(Summerside, PE) The top two teams in the NBL of Canada square off for the second time in 7 days when the Summerside STORM visit the London Lightning tonight at the John Labatt Center in London for a 8pm start AST.
The STORM and Lightning played one the best games of the season last Saturday in London with the STORMS Josiah Turner sending the game into extra time as the clock was running down, only to see the STORM lose the game 118-114 in overtime. The STORM and Lightning have split two games this year, the STORM winning by 19 at home and the Lightning in overtime.
The STORM come into tonight's game atop the Atlantic Division standings at 20-14, good for 2nd overall in the league, while London has hit the 30 win mark against 4 losses and running away with the Central Division.
STORM Fans can watch the game live by visiting the STORM website and following the webcasting links to the game.
After this week the STORM return home for Prince Edward Island's version of March Madness, five straight home games to end the regular season. The STORM face the Saint John Mill Rats this coming Tuesday night at Credit Union Place in a game rescheduled from Islander Day due to poor weather conditions. The STORM then host Oshawa on March 8th, Halifax on March 10th, London on March 14th, and end the regular season again on March 16th.
All games are shaping up to be very important for the STORM as Saint John and Halifax both and are still in the hunt for the division title. The Moncton Miracles are still in the mix with 19 wins against 20 losses but have just one more game to play in the regular season.
