(Summerside, PE) After losing in overtime one week ago, the Summerside STORM get the job done in London Saturday night beating the Lightning 109-105 in front of over 4,200 fans at the John Labatt Center. The STORM now are the leagues only team with a winning record against the Lightning having won twice and lost once to the NBL's number one team.
Greg Plummer had a great night for the STORM with 32 points and 9 rebounds while going 6-12 from the 3 point line. Omari Johnson and Brandon Robinson each scored 23 while Al Stewart narrowly missed a triple-double with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Adrian Moss led the Lightning attack with 21 points.
The STORM move closer to clinching the Atlantic Division of the NBL with two road victories in three days and sit at 21-14, good for second overall in the league and first in their division.
Now STORM Fans can get ready to welcome the team home for 5 straight home games to end the regular season starting Tuesday night at Credit Union Place at 7pm for a date against the Saint John Mill Rats.
