Storm, Lil'Kickers offer holiday camps

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (Nov. 21, 2008) - Looking to keep your son or daughter busy during the Holiday break? This December, the Chicago Storm and Lil'Kickers offer five dates for kids to learn soccer and have some fun at the Storm's practice facility, Sports Zone, 1945 Cornell Ave., in Melrose Park, Ill.

Camps run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30, and are for ages 3 to 16 years old. To register, visit www.ChicagoSportsZone.com and click "MySAM." Check out the following options:

Lil'Kickers Camp: For ages 3 to 6, the camps are run by highly qualified coaches to help your child make new friends, sharpen their sports and soccer skills, and learn about teamwork and sportsmanship. Kids can play in the Fun Zone Inflatable Playground, exercise and have a fun time. All campers receive a free ticket to a 2008-2009 Chicago Storm soccer game! The cost is only $25 per day.

Chicago Storm Holiday Camp: For ages 7 to 16, Storm head coach Steve Morris and current Storm players conduct this one-of-a-kind camp that focuses on individual ball work, passing and receiving, shooting and 1-vs.-1 play. All campers receive a free ticket to a 2008-2009 Chicago Storm soccer game! The cost is only $40 per day.

Chicago Storm Striker/Keeper Camp: This camp runs on Dec. 29 and 30 only, from 1 to 4 p.m. For ages 10 to 16, join Storm goalkeeper Jeff Richey and select teammates as they teach campers how to score goals and how to be successful in the goal. All campers receive a free ticket to a 2008-2009 Chicago Storm soccer game! The cost is only $40 per day.

The Chicago Storm organization enters its fifth season of professional indoor soccer. Chicago's 2008-2009 Xtreme Soccer League season kicks off with a road game at New Jersey on Sunday, Dec. 14, and the Storm's home opener takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, against Milwaukee at the Sears Centre Arena.
