Sioux Falls Storm News Release
Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm will open home play for the 2015 Season unbeaten (3-0) against the Billings Wolves (0-3). The game will take place at the new Storm Shelter, the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Boyer Trucks is proud to be the official sponsor of the 2015 Storm Home opener game, which kicks off this Saturday at 7:05 PM.
The Storm offense looks to keep dominating on the field, with running back Tory Harrison, who leads the IFL in rushing yards (341) and points (90). He recently set a new league single-game rushing record (193 yards) in Colorado on March 15th.
The March 28th game returns former Storm quarterback Chri s Dixon, who retired as an active player following the team's 2014 IFL United Bowl Championship season, to become the head coach of the Billings Wolves. Billings comes into this weekend's game off of a loss (47-44) against Bemidji, averaging 181 yards per game in total offense, rankling ninth in the league.
There will be numerous events and special promotions going on, including 5,000 Storm Rally Towels given away prior to the game courtesy of Boyer Trucks. The club will treat early arriving fans to a red carpet event at the main front entrance of the Premier Center. Fans will be greeted with live music, the Lightning Girls Cheer team and a special red carpet entrance leading up to the stadium. Fans can also have a commemorative photo taken at the front entrance from 6:00-6:45 PM courtesy of Tslat Photography. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the unveiling of the 2014 IFL United Bowl Championship Trophy.
There will be a special guest appearance by Riley Reiff of the Detroit Lions, a Parkston, SD native and former University of Iowa standout. Riley was the Lions No. #1 draft pick in 2012 and currently co-anchors the offensive line at the tackle position. Riley will be on hand in conjunction with the local Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire. Supporters can meet Riley in person and receive free autographs at half time near the apparel stand on the south side of the main concourse.
After the game, Eastway Bowl will sponsor the Storm Autograph Zone that will be held in the Concourse West of the Box Office windows, NOT on the field. The first 500 fans in line will receive a free Storm Team Poster to have players sign.
