Storm Home Opener This Friday

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm come into the home opener unbeaten at 1-0. The Cedar Rapids Titans (1-0) are coming off of a win (39-15) against the Green Bay Blizzard. The game will take place at the Storm Shelter, the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Boyer Trucks is proud to be the official sponsor of the 2016 Storm home opener game, which kicks off this Friday at 7:05pm.

The Storm looks to keep dominating on the field. Last week, Mike Tatum finished the game with 79 receiving yards on five catches and two touchdowns. Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown, threw three touchdowns while completing nine of 15 passes, had one rushing touchdown and had one interception. Korey Williams finished the game with two receptions for 24 yards and one touchdown. While the Storm defense totaled 69 tackles, one sack, five tackles for a loss, three pass breakups and one blocked kick.

The February 26th home opener will pit two undefeated teams in the United Conference against each other. For the Titans, the team is looking to keep up their momentum after a 39-15 win against the Green Bay Blizzard. In that game, Dylan Favre threw 97 yards, had 25 rushing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. James Waymon rushed 51 yards, and scored three touchdowns.

There will be numerous events and special promotions taking place including a special pre-game giveaway of 5,000 Storm "Scroll Banners" sponsored by Boyer Trucks that the fans can use to cheer the team on to victory. Opening ceremonies will incorporate the unveiling of the 2015 IFL United Bowl Championship Trophy, which represents the ninth overall title captured during the Storm's illustrious franchise history.

After every home game, stop by the Post-Game Autograph Zone, courtesy of Eastway Bowl. The first 500 fans in line will receive a free Storm poster to have players sign. The Post-Game Autograph Zone will be held in the Concourse West of the Box office windows, NOT on the field.
