Storm Get Win Number 20 in Oshawa

February 28, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Summerside Storm News Release

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM pretty much led from start to finish on their way to their 20th win of the season as they beat the Oshawa Power 118-109 in Oshawa Thursday night. The win gives the STORM a record of 20-14, good for first place in the Atlantic Division of the NBL of Canada and second overall in the league. With a Saint John loss against London tonight the STORM are now 3 games up in the win column against both the Mill Rats and the Halifax Rainmen.

Brandon Robinson and Omari Johnson each had 24 points to lead the STORM while Robinson added 10 rebounds. Newcomer Antoine Tisby scored 17 points to go with 8 rebounds in his first game in a STORM uniform. William "BO" Harris was top gun for Oshawa with 23 points and 7 boards.

On Saturday night the STORM visit the London Lightning with the two teams having split two games so far this season. The STORM beat the NBL's top team by 19 points in January while losing a close one in overtime last week in what many observers feel was the best game in the league so far this season. This game can be seen live online by visiting the STORM website and following the webcasting links.

After this week the STORM return home for Prince Edward Island's version of March Madness, five straight home games to end the regular season. The STORM face the Saint John Mill Rats this coming Tuesday night at Credit Union Place in a game rescheduled from Islander Day due to poor weather conditions. The STORM then host Oshawa on March 8th, Halifax on March 10th, London on March 14th, and end the regular season again on March 16th.

All games are shaping up to be very important for the STORM as Saint John and Halifax both and are still in the hunt for the division title. The Moncton Miracles are still in the mix with 19 wins against 20 losses but have just one more game to play in the regular season.

Tickets for the final five regular season STORM home games are on sale at the Credit Union Place box office or by going online at www.stormbasketball.ca. The STORM also offer group ticket packages, a great way for your group or organization to enjoy STORM Pro Basketball. For more information about group ticket packages email info@stormbasketball.ca or phone 902-315-3290.

STORM Season Ticket holders are reminded Friday is the final day to reserve the seat they've enjoyed all season for the playoffs. Playoff ticket packages for Season Ticket holders and the general public can be purchased at the Credit union Place Box office or online.
