Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Sioux Falls Stampede by a final score of 4-3 Friday night at the Viaero Center. Adam Klapka, Caden Villegas, Kieran Cebrian, and Mark Estapa scored in Tri-City's victory. Todd Scott recorded his sixteenth win of the season in net. Tomorrow's home game against Sioux Falls is sold out. Tickets are still available for Tri-City's March 26th home game against the Omaha Lancers. Tomorrow's promotion is "Youth Hockey Night". Tri-City will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off in a live auction following the game. Puck drop for tomorrow's home game at the Viaero Center against the Sioux Falls Stampede is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Adam Klapka netted his eighth goal of the season off a faceoff win in the offensive zone by Kyler Kovich to give Tri-City a 1-0 lead. Klapka's goal was scored at 13:53 of the 1st period and was the only goal of Friday's 1st period. The Storm outshot the Stampede 10-7 and carried a one-goal lead into the 2nd period.

Sioux Falls scored twice in the opening fifty-three seconds of the 2nd period to take a one-game lead in the game. Tyler Haskins scored nineteen seconds into the period to tie the game at 1-1, and Cole Sillinger gave the Stampede its first lead of the game thirty-four seconds later. At 5:27 of the 2nd period, Caden Villegas scored his eighth goal of the year to tie the game at 2-2. Villegas' goal was assisted by Drew Montgomery and Guillaume Richard. At 10:48 of the 2nd period, Jack Smith scored his fourth goal of the season to put Sioux Falls back ahead by one goal. Less than two minutes later, Kieran Cebrian buried his third goal of the year to tie the game at 3-3. Cebrian's goal was assisted by Cole O'Hara. The Storm outshot the Stampede 14-10 in the 2nd period and the game entered the 3rd period in a 3-3 tie.

Mark Estapa scored a power-play goal at 2:09 of the 3rd period to give Tri-City a 4-3 lead. The goal was Estapa's tenth of the season and was assisted by Ben Schoen and Rhett Pitlick. Estapa's goal was the game-winning goal and Tri-City defeated Sioux Falls by a final score of 4-3. The Storm outshot the Stampede 28-24 in the game. Todd Scott made twenty-one saves on twenty-four shots to record the win in goal. Mark Estapa was named the 1st Star of the Game, and Adam Klapka and Caden Villegas recorded 2nd Star and 3rd Star honors.

The Storm improved to 24-13-2-1 in the home victory. Tri-City is now only three points behind Fargo for 1st place in the USHL's Western Conference standings. The Storm also improved to 2-2-1-0 in head-to-head matchups against Sioux Falls this season.
