
Storm Defeat Cavalry and Clinch Best Record in IFL

CASPER, WY - The Sioux Falls Storm (12-0) finished their road season with a 71 to 46 victory over the Wyoming Cavalry (4-9) on Friday night. With the win, the Storm has clinched the top seed in the Indoor Football League.
The Storm offense totaled 268 yards, with 137 yards coming from the ground game. Quarterback Chris Dixon led the attack with 80 yards rushing and five touchdowns. He also went 14-20 for 135 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Running back Korey Williams added 57 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Carl Sims led the wide receivers catching five passes for 68 yards and one touchdown.
Linebacker Dejuan Fulghum led the Storm with ten tackles and one blocked field goal. Defensive back Stewart Franks added seven tackles and one interception. Rachman Crable anchored the defensive line with five tackles and one sack.
Wyoming quarterback Matt Strand threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns in the contest. He also added six yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Keithen Valentine rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns. Valentine also threw a touchdown to LaVaughn Macon, and had a 54-yard kickoff return touchdown. Defensively, Kelly George had ten tackles, and linebacker Ross Cochran had five.
The Storm returns home next Saturday night to battle the Colorado Ice at 7:05. The Storm will finish their regular season on June 16th against the Omaha Beef. Tickets are available for both games through the Arena Box Office. Storm playoff tickets are also available at www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
