Storm Coach Selected NBL Coach of the Month for January

(Summerside, PE) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that head coach Joe Salerno of the Summerside Storm has been named the NBL Canada Coach of the Month for January 2013. Salerno, in his second season as head coach of the Storm, has guided the Prince Edward Island team to a 6-2 record in January, positioning the team with a three-game lead in the NBL's Atlantic Division. The Storm, with a 17-11 record, has already surpassed the number of wins from last season (12-24), with two months left to play in the 2012-13 campaign.

The STORM play next at home on Thursday February 14th at 7 pm against the Moncton Miracles which is "Cure on the Court" night with funds being raised for Breast Cancer Research, an NBL of Canada initiative. The STORM then play on Monday February 18th, Islander Day, at 2 pm with the game's theme surrounding family health and wellness.
The STORM has also announced that STORM playoff ticket packages will be released soon with more details coming within the next week.
