Storm Clinch Atlantic Division - Get Ready for Al Stewart Day

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM Clinched the Atlantic Division of the NBL Friday night at Credit Union Place with a 105-100 win over the Oshawa Power in front 2,106 fans.

Omari Johnson had a big night for the STORM with 34 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double. Brandon Robinson led the team in scoring with 35 points. Nick Okorie was top point getter for the Power with 34 points.

The STORM now have a bye into the second round of the NBL playoffs and home court advantage in the semi-finals.

STORM play next on Sunday afternoon at home against the Halifax Rainmen for Al Stewart Day honouring the STORMS captain who is leaving to take a teaching job in his native Chicago. Sunday is also Newcomers Day at the game with international dancing, food, and entertainment.

Mathew O'Halloran was the big winner of the 50-50 taking home half the total pot of $3,912.00. Kevin Poirier was the winner of a prize from Subway. Everyone in Section H at tonights game receives a free slice of pizza from Greco on Monday as the STORM won and scored over 100 points. And with the win everyone with a ticket in the building tonight gets a free car wash from Wilsons Fuels on Water St. in Summerside tomorrow.

STORM playoff tickets are on sale in packages of 3 or 6 games and available at the Credit Union Place box office or online by visiting the STORM website.
