On Friday, Attard netted four goals, tying the Tri-City Storm record for most goals scored in a game, and setting a new team record for most goals scored by a defenseman in a single game. Today's announcement marks the third time this season that Attard has been named the USHL's Defenseman of the Week.

Ronnie Attard, 19, of White Lake, Michigan picks up Defenseman of the Week honors for the third time this season following a five goal, two assist weekend. Attard also finished the two game weekend with a plus/minus rating of +6. Attard continues to lead all USHL players in plus/minus, with a rating of +36 for the season. On Friday, he became the first USHL defenseman to score four goals in a single game in nearly four years. His two power play goals during the 2nd period of Friday's 7-0 win over Green Bay tied a team record for most power play goals scored in a period. Attard followed up his sensational play on Friday night with a one goal, two assist effort in the Storm's 5-2 defeat of Green Bay on Saturday. Attard was named the 1st Star of the Game on Friday, and the 2nd Star of the Game on Saturday. His four-goal game on Friday, also marked the first time in his career that he has scored a Hat Trick. Attard scored his 18th goal of the season in Saturday's game, and he now leads all USHL defenseman in goals during the 2018-2019 regular season. Attard previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at Western Michigan University.

"It was an awesome experience for me to score four goals in a game, but especially great to be able to do it at home in front our fans. The whole team had a great night, and the puck found the back of the net for me. Coming into this season I had a lot more confidence than in previous years. I knew what it was going to take to become an elite player in this league, and playing with Zac Jones has been awesome because he's a great player." - Ronnie Attard

"Ronnie is someone who does things right every single day, he does it right in the community, off the ice, in the locker room, he is the guy who you want other players to gravitate to. He has so much raw emotion, and care and love for not only hockey, but life, and that has run throughout our team this season. It's nice to see guys like him do things on the ice and get rewarded. He's having a special season, a performance like that speaks a lot about him, he has become a dominant force in the league." Head Coach Anthony Noreen
