
Storm Advance to President's Cup Semifinals

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Quad City Storm completed a road sweep of Games Two and Three Saturday Night at the Crown Coliseum with a 4-2 victory over the Fayetteville Marksmen. The win propelled the Storm to the semifinals of the SPHL's President's Cup Playoffs to take on an opponent that is TBD. Information on game dates, times and opponents will be released when available.
Storm Captain Taylor Pryce started the scoring in Game 3 with a quick wrist shot past Marksmen netminder Brent Moran to put the Storm up 1-0. Defenseman Tristan Theriot followed up the first goal with his first professional goal at 16:12 of the first period.
The Marksmen answered with a goal late in the first period and tied the game at 8:37 of the second period.
Tied at 2-2 at the start of the first period, rookie forward Ben Dupperault filled the role of closer by netting a pair of goals that eventually set the final score at 4-2. Storm goaltender Bailey Brkin dazzled for the second night in a row, making 28 saves on 30 shots.
