Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the signing of defensive back Nate Terry. Terry is the older brother of Storm wide receiver Jame Terry. Terry joins the Storm after spending time in numerous leagues including the NFL, NFL Europe, and Canadian Football League (CFL).

Terry finished his college playing career in the fall 1999 at the University of West Virginia. Terry started in the 1997 and 1999 seasons for the Mountaineers and compiled 78 tackles and five interceptions over those two seasons. Terry also had a 100-yard kickoff return and an 81-yard punt return for touchdowns at West Virginia. Terry went un-drafted in the 2000 NFL Draft, but signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns after the draft. Terry was released and found himself as a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL), where he started six games in the summer and fall of 2000.

Terry was then picked up by the Seattle Seahawks and sent to NFL-Europe (NFLE) where he joined the Scottish Claymores. Terry played in only one game for the Claymore where he recorded an interception and returned a kick for 33 yards. Following the 2001 NFLE season, Terry came back to North American and joined the Montreal Alouettes (CFL) where he spent the season on the team's practice squad during the 2002 season. Terry then spent the 2003 CFL season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Terry spent both the 2004 and 2005 season with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL. Terry played in 18 games over that span and recorded 57 tackles and five interceptions. Terry made his latest stop is Sioux City, IA where he played in one game with Bandits in 2006
