Storm Add Powerful Duo in the Backfield

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm are excited to announce the signings of running back Nate Chavious and Tevin McCaster for the 2021 season.

Chavious (5'11, 215) will enter his first season with the Storm. Nate spent the 2019 season with the Cedar Rapids River Kings where he tallied 112 rushes for 395 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also added 20 receptions for 162 yards and 699 kick returns yards on 34 attempts with two scores. He played collegiately at Sacred Heart University where he totaled 3,715 all-purpose yards and averaging 5.5 yards per carry. He sits second in school history for yards, carries, and was a two-time NEC (Northeast Conference) Champion.

McCaster (5'9, 210) will be entering his rookie season with the Storm. Tevin played collegiately at Youngstown State University where he had 2,970 yards and 36 rushing touchdowns along with 198 receiving yards and one touchdown. He was a First-Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection during his junior season.

"We were very excited to see Tevin contribute to our offense and we have been very lucky to add Nate this season," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Both are Rb's that have excellent skill sets that fit very well into our system."
