TONIGHT

The Stockton Heat look to rebound from a 6-4 setback Friday against the Barracuda, a game in which San Jose jumped out to a 4-1 lead before the Heat battled back to a 4-4 tie in the third until two late goals pushed the Pacific-leading Barracuda ahead for good.--

YOUTH MOVEMENT

Stockton's comeback effort Friday was led by 20-year-old prospects Dillon Dube and Juuso Valimaki, each posting a goal and an assist in the narrow loss. For Valimaki, his goal was his first in the AHL and he now has three points in three games. Dube now has seven goals (3g,4a) over Stockton's last six games.

SPECIAL TEAMS ADVANTAGE

Stockton has owned the special teams battle against San Jose so far this season, entering tonight's game 10-for-30 (33.3 percent) on the power play while limiting the Barracuda to 4-for-37 (10.8 percent) on the man-advantage through nine games.

LAZAR, RYCHEL LEAD

Curtis Lazar is tied with Kerby Rychel for the lead on the Heat in production against the Barracuda this year, each with 11 points through nine meetings. Lazar lit the lamp in the first period of Friday's game, Rychel claiming an assist on his marker.

COMEBACK KIDS

The Heat have continued to battle despite being down in games lately, erasing third period deficits in each of the last three games. Stockton has gone 1-2 in those contests, winning last Saturday at San Antonio.

SCORING FIRST

The first goal carries extra weight between these two clubs, with Stockton entering tonight's game 10-3-3-0 on the year when taking a 1-0 lead and San Jose with a record of 20-2-0-4.
