
Stockton Kings Acquire Returning Player Rights to Skal Labissière

Today, the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, acquired the returning player rights to Skal Labissière from the Mexico City Capitanes as part of a three-team trade with the Maine Celtics. In exchange, the Kings traded the returning player rights to DJ Steward to the Celtics.
Labissière, a 6-10 forward, averaged 8.3 points (49.3 FG%), 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 blocks per game during the 2022-23 season with the Capitanes. Prior to Mexico City, he averaged 5.6 points (45.0 FG%) and 2.7 rebounds with the Westchester Knicks during the 2020-21 season.
Originally selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, Labissière spent three seasons with the Sacramento Kings (2016-19) and one with the Portland Trail Blazers (2019-20) averaging 7.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
