Stingrays Sign Defenseman Tommy Fitzpatrick

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that the team has signed defenseman Tommy Fitzpatrick. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Fitzpatrick, 25, appeared in 11 games with the Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League this season scoring one goal. Earlier this season, the Fort McMurray, Alberta, native skated in two preseason games with the Stingrays. Currently in his first professional campaign, Fitzpatrick attended Marian College for three seasons grabbing 13 goals and 62 assists for 75 points in 77 games.

Wear your school colors on College Pride Night, Friday, December 7 as the Stingrays battle the Trenton Titans at 7:05 p.m. at the Coliseum.
