
Orlando Acquires Gendur, Mahovsky from Evansville

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have acquired RW Dan Gendur and C Dale Mahovsky from the Evansville IceMen in exchange for RW Kevin Baker.
Gendur (5'11", 205 lbs.) played 14 games with the IceMen, tallying four goals and three assists for seven points and 18 penalty minutes (PIM). He spent last season with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in the Central Hockey League (CHL), where he had 73 points (28 goals, 45 assists) in 62 games. Gendur appeared in 10 games with the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL (American Hockey League) during the 2010-11 season, picking up one assist and six PIM. That year he also skated in 37 games for the Killer Bees, scoring 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points. Gendur has ECHL experience with Johnstown and Victoria in addition to Evansville, and in 95 ECHL games he has 15 goals, 42 assists, 57 points, and 129 PIM.
The former Vancouver Canucks draft pick (Round 7, #206 overall, 2007 NHL Entry Draft), played four seasons in the WHL (Western Hockey League) for the Prince George Cougars and Everett Silvertips from 2004-2008. In his final two seasons in the WHL, Gendur played 108 games with 49 goals, 77 assists, 126 points, and 112 PIM.
Mahovsky (6'0", 187 lbs.) played 19 games for the IceMen, picking up 26 PIM along with eight points (4 goals, 4 assists). He spent the 2011-12 season with the Missouri Mavericks in the CHL, scoring 18 goals to go with 36 assists for 54 points as well as 69 PIM. Mahovsky previously had ECHL experience with the Elmira Jackals in 2010-11, where he played in 28 games, notching 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists).
Prior to turning pro, the Saskatchewan, Alberta, native skated for four seasons with the University of Alberta in the CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport). He played 109 games in four seasons, netting 28 goals and adding 29 assists for 57 points. He also played six seasons in the WHL, all for the Kootenay Ice, where he had 234 points (86 goals, 148 assists) and 387 PIM in 344 games.
Baker played in 18 games for the Solar Bears, picking up 26 PIM along with four goals and five assists for nine points.
