Seven one-goal games during the regular season, two double-overtime thrillers in three playoff games, and the first to four gets to crown themselves the king of the south. The Stingrays are currently up 2-1 in the best-of-seven South Division Finals series against the Florida Everblades. Game 4 (Ticket- Round 2 Game B): Wednesday, May 3rd, 7:05 PM. Stingrays Happy Hour featuring $2.00 beers and a $4.00 specialty cocktail! First 1,500 fans through the doors get Stingrays Thunderstix! Game 5 (Ticket- Round 2 Game C): Thursday, May 4th, 7:05 PM. Another Stingrays Happy Hour featuring $2.00 beers and a $4.00 specialty cocktail!
The Rays kicked off the series in Florida with a double overtime victory in Game 1. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the third period with goals coming from Steven McParland and Domenic Monardo. It wasn't until the 100th minute of the game when Monardo found the back of the net from the bottom of the left circle to seal the victory for the Rays. Florida came out with a vengeance to start Game 2 as a brawl broke out one second into the game. The Everblades used a hot start to secure a 5-2 victory and tie the series up at 1-1 Saturday night. However, the Rays gained back the momentum with another 2OT victory Monday. After four scoreless periods, Andrew Cherniwchan notched the only goal of the game 2:39 into the second overtime.
