Port Huron Icehawks News Release

PORT HURON, MI - Port Huron Icehawks forward Cory Stillman was named International Hockey League Player of the Week for the week ending Monday, October 26, the league announced today.

The honor is the second consecutive for the Icehawks. Port Huron forward Mike Kinnie received the accolade last week.

Stillman had a big weekend for Port Huron. He also dished out a pair of assists in Port Huron's 4-1 win versus Flint on Saturday.

The 26-year old native of Lindsay, Ontario finished the week with a +3 rating. He is now tied for second in the league in scoring with six points in four games (3g, 3a).

Dayton forward Mike Vaskivuo was named IHL Rookie of the Week and Bloomington goalie Paulo Colaiacovo received Goaltender of the Week honors.

The Icehawks return home on Saturday, October 31 for a special Halloween celebration. Kids in costume will receive a ticket for just $5 and can participate in an on-ice costume parade.
