Spokane Shock News Release
The Spokane Shock announced today that they have re-signed OL/DL Jerome Stevens to their 2008 roster.
Stevens is the sixth player to re-sign with the team from the 2007 roster, and the second player from the ArenaCup Championship 2006 roster to join the team.
In 2007, Stevens had a knee injury that limited his play to eight games. However, in those eight games, Stevens had 7.5 tackles, one sack, one pass break-up and one forced fumble.
"I like playing the game - I like the organization and I like the fans here," Stevens said. "My knee is nearly 100%. I have been doing a lot of activities on it and it's good to go."
In other Shock news, former LB Kelvin Morris and WR/DL Anthony Brown both signed AFL contracts to join the Utah Blaze. Morris set a franchise record by scoring six defensive touchdowns while racking up 61.5 tackles with six recovered fumbles.
Brown, a mid-season acquisition, displayed his talents on both sides of the ball in a Shock uniform. As a receiver, Brown had 22 receptions - averaging 10.7 yards/reception - with three touchdowns. Defensively, as a DL, he recorded nine tackles, including 1.5 for a loss with ½ a sack.
OL Ed Ta'amu, a member of the 2006 ArenaCup Champion Shock, re-signed a contract with the AFL's Kansas City Brigade.
Season Tickets for the 2008 Shock season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462 today.
