San Jose Giants Outfielder Steven Duggar

San Jose, CA - San Jose Giants outfielder Steven Duggar has been named California League Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on May 22. Duggar's offensive production led the Giants to a 5-2 record and within one game of North Division leader, the Visalia Rawhide while raising his batting average to a season-high .296.
In seven total games last week, Duggar hit .370 (10-for-27) with two doubles, two home runs, five RBIs and 10 runs. He also homered in back-to-back games on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Stockton Ports at Banner Island Ballpark.
Duggar was the San Francisco Giants 6th round draft pick in 2015. In 39 games this season for the San Jose Giants, he has hit .297 with nine doubles, six home runs and 23 RBIs. He currently sits second on the team in runs batted in and third in average, home runs and runs.
Duggar becomes the second San Jose Giant to be named Player of the Week in 2016:

The San Jose Giants continue their season-long 14 game road trip tonight in Visalia before returning home for an action-packed 10-day,11-game homestand on Sunday, May 29. The homestand will feature daytime baseball that Sunday as well as Monday, May 30 in honor of Memorial Day. Then, the organization is offering complimentary tickets for the team's rescheduled doubleheader on Tuesday, May 31 against the Lancaster JetHawks. The games are being made up from the opening homestand's postponement due to inclement weather.
