
Stejskal Rejoins the Gladiators

DULUTH, Ga. - The Iowa Wild of the AHL announced that they have released defenseman Joe Stejskal (pronounced STAY-skull) from his Professional Tryout Contract on Thursday, allowing him to return to the Gladiators.
Stejskal, 26, was signed to a PTO contract with Iowa on February 7th, and played in seven games with the Wild this month, tallying four penalty minutes.
The defenseman played in 43 games for the Gladiators this season, and was the team's fourth leading scorer with 20 points (four goals, 16 assists), the most among the team's blue-liners. He also leads the Gladiators with a +10 plus/minus rating, and was the ECHL's Plus Performer for the month of January with a +13 along with teammate Eric Springer.
A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Stejskal has played in 235 professional games with eight goals and 44 assists to his name. He played in his 100th career AHL match on Tuesday in Iowa's 6-2 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Stejskal joins the Gladiators ahead of their two-game set with the Orlando Solar Bears, which begins on Friday the 27th at 8:00 p.m. The Gladiators' next home game will be on Saturday, March 7th for $5 Mesh Replica Jersey Frenzy Night against the South Carolina Stingrays.
